In our last post, we mentioned the reason why we had stopped using the Yoast SEO plugin and had begun moving all our sites across to The SEO Framework plugin.
To do this manually would have been a major headache, and thankfully we came across a pretty neat plugin named the SEO Data Transporter which allows your transfer SEO data back and forth between many plugins and themes.
It seems to do the job quite nicely, and with a extra few tweaks and adjustments you can copy all your SEO content across away from the the Yoast SEO plugin and into The SEO Framework plugin.
Before you undertake anything like this, be sure to make a total backup of your WordPress website. We suggest using something similar to our favourite backup tool, BackupBuddy, or UpDraft Plus.
Juliet may have said “Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow”. but would she have said the same thing to Yoast?
