If you want to make it super easy for people to contact you, chances are you will want to have some sort of contact form on your WordPress Website, whether its on the homepage, a sidebar or your contact details page.
Thankfully there are plenty options available, both paid and free, so today we will look at 3 of the better ones.
Contact Form 7
Contact Form 7 can manage multiple contact forms, plus you can customize the form and the mail contents flexibly with simple markup. The form supports Ajax-powered submitting, CAPTCHA, Akismet spam filtering and so on.
This plugin has been around for a a long while, and it hasn’t really changed that much over the years, its nice and neat, its really easy to add styling to with css, and offers the basics that every contact form would need in terms of available form fields. It also has some neat ‘third party’ plugins that can give it some extra functionality.
Contact Forms 7 is an old favourite, and great when you need a no fuss solution.
Caldera Forms
Caldera Forms is a different kind of WordPress form builder. With its intuitive drag and drop interface, it’s never been easier and less stressful to create forms for your WordPress site that look awesome on any device.
Caldera Forms is a really nicely designed plugin that offers drag and drop functionality to create your forms which makes it super easy to use. It has a lot of pre generated field types, so creating a complex form is really easy, and its also responsive out of the box. It also has ‘conditions’ (logic) so you can tell certain fields to only appear if other conditions are met – If a certain check box is ticked, show another option etc.
Caldera Forms is free, but also has the option of paid plugin upgrades to add things such ass payments and mailchimp functionality.
Surprisingly, we only recently came across Caldera Forms, and we think its a real winner for most sites.
Gravity Forms
Gravity Forms is hands down the best contact form plugin for WordPress powered websites. Oh yeah, we said it!
Don’t just take our word for it, listen to what Gravity Forms users are saying.
According to Gravity Forms, its the best contact form plugin, and although its a bold claim, its a very powerful professional plugin with drag and drop interface, and it offers a wide range of features (similar to Calder Forms) and if you purchase the more expensive license it throws in all the paid upgrades it offers for free (Accept payment in your form, Sync with Dropbox, Polling, etc). The developer license also allows you to install it on unlimited sites and gives you priority ticket support if you have any questions you need answered by its coders. They also have a pretty decent community forum where a bunch of questions are answered.
If you are serious about your WordPress and want the most robust option, this is probably the plugin for you.
